<![CDATA[The overcrowding of inmates in correctional facilities has become a critical issue impacting various aspects, including the health of prisoners. Overcrowding often creates unhygienic conditions and challenges in maintaining personal cleanliness, thereby increasing the risk of disease transmission, particularly skin diseases. This situation is exacerbated by the limited healthcare services in correctional facilities, such as insufficient medical facilities, inadequate infrastructure, and a shortage of qualified healthcare workers. As a result, inmates suffering from skin diseases often do not receive optimal treatment, which ultimately affects their overall quality of life. This study aims to identify challenges in managing skin diseases in correctional facilities and propose strategic steps to improve the quality of healthcare services. The research adopts a literature review method by analyzing four relevant research journals on healthcare services in correctional facilities. Through this approach, the study seeks to provide in-depth insights into the factors hindering the effective management of skin diseases in correctional facilities and propose actionable solutions. The findings of this study are expected to serve as a reference for policymakers in formulating more effective and sustainable policies to enhance healthcare services in correctional facilities. Improved healthcare services could positively impact the health and well-being of inmates, aligning with the principles of human rights and public health equity.]]>
