Abstract

This study aims to describe students' experiences in jogging activities as an effort to improve physical fitness. Jogging is a simple form of physical activity that can be done regularly to support students' health and fitness, especially in the context of physical education learning at school. This study uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological study method. The subjects of the study were students who regularly participate in jogging activities in physical education learning activities. Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out using data reduction techniques, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that students have diverse experiences in participating in jogging activities, ranging from increased fitness, increased motivation to exercise, to the formation of active lifestyle habits. In addition, jogging is also perceived as an enjoyable activity and can reduce boredom in the learning process. Supporting factors in this activity include teacher support, the school environment, and students' awareness of the importance of physical fitness. Meanwhile, several obstacles encountered include unstable physical conditions and a lack of consistency in training. In conclusion, jogging activities provide positive experiences for students in an effort to improve physical fitness and have the potential to form an active lifestyle in the school environment.
