The creation of batik to introduce buildings that represent aesthetic institutions and harmony of motifs must involve elements of building science and icons. The creation process in this research requires exploration, improvisation, and product realization. Exploration was carried out through field observations to identify various forms of ornamentation on buildings within the Faculty of Engineering. The building at the Faculty of Engineering was then applied to the batik motif by combining several ornamental elements from the Faculty of Engineering icons, focusing on composition and harmony of form. This research is a continuation of previous applied research that has produced innovative batik products with high commercial value. The procedure for this research is to create work to make batik. The exploration stage consists of (1) field observations and exploring reference sources to find solutions to problems and (2) exploring the theoretical basis, sources and references, and visual references. The improvisation stage involves visualizing shape ideas; the final stage is the batik-making process. The expected results of this research include international journal articles, copyright, TKT level 5, and innovative batik products that provide insight into buildings, icons and the history of buildings within the Faculty of Engineering.
