<![CDATA[HIV or Human Immunodeficiency Virus, is a virus that attacks the human immune system, thus having an impact on the vulnerability of the patient's body to various other infectious diseases caused by HIV/AIDS. This study aims to analyze the relationship between the level of student knowledge about HIV/AIDS and the potential for discrimination against people living with HIV/AIDS at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Universitas Islam Negeri Alauddin Makassar. This research is a quantitative study with a cross-sectional design. The population in this study was the 2022 class of FKIK students, totaling 382 individuals, with a sample of 195 respondents. The independent variables in this study are HIV/AIDS knowledge among students and student stigma towards HIV/AIDS, while the dependent variable is student discrimination against HIV/AIDS. Data were collected from January to March 2024 through questionnaires using direct interview methods with FKIK UIN Alauddin Makassar students. The chi-square showed a relationship between knowledge and potential discrimination (p = 0.000), showed no relationship between stigma and potential discrimination (p = 0.941). Multivariate analysis results indicated that the most influential variable on potential discrimination is knowledge, with an OR (0.303). The suggestion from this study is that the institution is expected to improve student understanding related to infectious diseases, particularly HIV/AIDS ]]>
