<![CDATA[Global competition in the 21st century requires students to have 21st century skills, including: information technology literacy skills, problem solving, critical and systemic thinking, effective communication, and collaboration. The five characteristics of 21st century skills require creative and social intelligence in students, which are obtained through a meaningful learning process for them to go through. The problem is: can learning with the Discovery Learning model improve science process skills and student learning outcomes? The purpose of this study is to describe the improvement of science process skills and student learning outcomes on the material of substances and their changes through learning with the Discovery Learning model. Discovery learning is a learning model that allows students to find their own knowledge through guidance. Group learning in the Discovery Learning model can train students to collaborate, communicate, think critically, and improve problem-solving skills. This study is a classroom action research conducted in class VII B of SMP Negeri 2 Pringapus totaling 34 students. The study was conducted in two cycles. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and written tests and analyzed descriptively qualitatively to make a comparison of learning outcomes. The results showed that there was an increase in process skills from 47.1% to 73.5% in cycle 1, and 88.24% at the end of cycle 2. The increase in learning outcomes was 20.5% and the students' response to learning outcomes was quite high, namely 86.76%. It was concluded that learning with the Discovery Learning model can improve science process skills and learning outcomes of class VII B students at SMP Negeri 2 Pringapus, Semarang Regency.
