<![CDATA[Money politics is a fraudulent act by bribery/risywah candidate pairs or political parties in general elections. This action is done with the aim that they get a lot of votes to get a position. Money politics is often untouched by the applicable law, even though this is always done openly in every legislative election held in Indonesia. This is very contrary to how politics is taught by Islam: elections should be carried out fairly without bribery or risywah. This kind of cheating can have a negative impact on the country, as leaders who do not have the quality and credibility to lead may be elected. In the Qur’an it is mentioned and also explained by several hadiths the prohibition of bribery/risywah.]]>
