<![CDATA[Policy analysis is closely related to the political system with the content of communication and the use of policy-relevant knowledge being central to the practice and theory of policy analysis. Only knowledge about how the policy-making process occurs is communicated in that process to policy actors who can use this knowledge to improve public policy. A policy analysis methodology is a system of standards, or rules and procedures for creating, critically appraising, and communicating policy-relevant knowledge.
