Pancasila as a state ideology shows that Indonesia is not a secular country even though it cannot also be called a religious state. Every individual and group has the fundamental right to voice their views on political views, freedom of opinion is one of the pillars of democracy. One of the concerns when the politicization of religion is used excessively is the bad image of religion if the elected leader's behavior and policies conflict with the religious issues raised during the campaign alone. The prohibition on the politicization of religion is when using religious teachings for pragmatic, practical political purposes, resulting in manipulation and exploitation of religion.
