This study aims to analyze the influence of leadership and work environment on employee performance at the Environmental Agency of Grobogan Regency, with motivation as an intervening variable. The study employed a quantitative approach involving the entire population of 137 employees, with data collected through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression and path analysis with the assistance of SPSS. The results indicate that leadership has a significant effect on employee motivation and performance. The work environment has a positive effect on performance but does not significantly influence motivation. Although motivation does not have a direct effect on performance, it effectively mediates the relationship between leadership and employee performance. The findings highlight the importance of visionary leadership and a conducive work environment in improving employee performance.
