<![CDATA[This community service activity aimed to assist Qur’anic learning for students at TPQ Darul Hidayah, Kretek Village, through the talaqqi method using an Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach. The activity involved 30 elementary-school-aged students and four teachers and was conducted for 40 days, five sessions per week, with each session lasting 90 minutes. The ABCD approach was implemented through the stages of discovery, dream, design, and destiny by identifying the potential of teachers, students, and the learning environment as assets for the program. The talaqqi learning process consisted of group reading, teacher modeling, student imitation, individual reading before the teacher, direct correction, and repetition. The learning materials covered makharijul huruf, tajwid, and memorization of Juz 30. The observed results indicated changes in students’ Qur’anic reading ability. Fifteen students who were previously less fluent showed improved fluency during the mentoring process. Students also appeared more enthusiastic in participating in learning activities, while teachers reported that the method supported them in correcting students’ reading directly. The activity indicates that mobilizing existing educational assets through ABCD can support the implementation of talaqqi-based Qur’anic learning at the community level.]]>
