Abstract

Plastic is one of the most widely used materials in Indonesia. One type is HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) plastic, this type is most widely used in daily life and one of the largest contributors of plastic waste. Despite its recyclability HDPE have recyclable properties, therefore the recycling process needs to be carried out immediately. Polin ATMI and ATMI Recycle Studio in collaboration with PT. AISIN Indonesia together conducted research to make a high-capacity hydraulic hot press machine of 70 Kg a day. The purpose of this research is to make a large-capacity machine that can recycle plastic which is then used as a plate that can be used for making furniture and crafts. In addition, the manufacture of this machine aims to support the SDGs program that is being carried out by PT. AISIN Indonesia. The morphological matrix method was used in the initial design process similar to the manufacture of a hot press plastic machine. The result of this research is that it has succeeded in making a plastic hot press machine with a total dimension of 1.5 m x 1.55 m x 1.55 m and the resulting product is in the form of a plate with a size of 1.3 m2 and a thickness of 0.2 m.
