This study analyzes the legal validity of supplementary voting in the Deli Serdang regional election after flooding disrupted the ordinary voting process. The research focuses on the legal basis for supplementary voting, its implementation by the Deli Serdang election administration, and the conditions required for the resulting vote to be legally valid. An empirical juridical method is used through statutory and conceptual approaches, literature review, election documents, and an interview with the Chair of the Deli Serdang General Election Commission. The findings show that supplementary voting is a remedial mechanism intended to preserve voting rights when a natural disaster prevents all stages of voting or counting from being carried out. Its validity depends on a formal postponement decision, competent institutional authority, compliance with procedures for logistics, voter lists, polling personnel, supervision and witnesses, documentation, transparency, and the absence of proven irregularities that invalidate the process. The mechanism therefore protects electoral participation while remaining subject to administrative and legal accountability
