The aim of this study is to determine the effectiveness of the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) curriculum and teaching methods in improving the quality of primary education in the digital age. To achieve this aim, this study employs a descriptive qualitative methodology, utilising techniques such as classroom observation, in-depth interviews and document analysis. Research has shown that an Islamic Religious Education curriculum integrated with digital technology can enhance pupil engagement, demonstrate the relevance of the material to everyday life, and deepen pupils’ understanding of Islamic values. I am aware of this. However, some teachers still face challenges in implementing technology-based methods, particularly due to a lack of training and supporting facilities. This study concludes that ongoing curriculum evaluation is necessary to meet the demands of the digital age. Furthermore, the expansion of digital infrastructure and teacher training are essential foundations for enhancing the effectiveness of Islamic religious education. This study provides practical recommendations for improving the quality of primary education through curriculum updates that reflect technological developments and pupils’ needs.
