Abstract

Pusat Oleh-Oleh Sumedang faces challenges in managing store layout and product visibility, including improper product categorization, the placement of products in low-visibility areas, and the suboptimal use of display space. These conditions make it difficult for customers to locate products and may affect sales performance. This study aims to analyze the optimization of store layout and product visibility at Pusat Oleh-Oleh Sumedang. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using the Lean Six Sigma approach through the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control) framework, supported by Check Sheets, Pareto Diagrams, and Fishbone Diagrams. The findings indicate that the main problems include improper product categorization, low product visibility, customers' difficulty in locating products, underutilized display space, and the absence of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for product arrangement. The proposed improvements, including product categorization, display space optimization, enhanced product visibility, and the development of product arrangement SOPs, resulted in a more organized store layout and contributed to increased sales turnover.
