<![CDATA[Teenagers are a very unstable age group in the phase of searching for their identity, making them vulnerable to getting caught up in the whirlpool of digital bullying on social media. The widespread occurrence of cyberbullying has the potential to cause serious psychological impacts and trigger mental health issues in its victims. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between social media use and psychosocial disturbances due to cyberbullying among teenagers at SMA Negeri 2 Gorontalo. This quantitative research method uses a cross-sectional design. The research sample consisted of 88 respondents from 10th and 11th-grade students, selected using the Slovin formula through the proportionate stratified random sampling technique. Primary data were collected using the standardized questionnaire of the Social Media Use Intensity Scale (SIPMS) and the psychosocial Symptom Checklist-17 (PSC-17), and then analyzed using the non-parametric chi-square statistical test (p <0.05). The research results show that the majority of adolescents fall into the moderate social media usage category, with 46 individuals (52.3%). Most respondents experienced psychosocial disturbances due to cyberbullying, with 55 individuals (62.5%), predominantly exhibiting symptoms of internalization issues and decreased learning attention. The chi-square test results indicate a p-value of 0.000 (< 0.05). The conclusion of the study shows a significant relationship between the level of social media use and psychosocial disturbances due to cyberbullying among teenagers at SMA Negeri 2 Gorontalo.]]>
