Modern education is increasingly trapped in a transactional and materialistic paradigm, directly eroding educator authority and exposing teachers to legal criminalization. This study critiques the degradation of transactional relations in education and reconstructs educator ethics using a Tarbawi Hadith framework. Employing a thematic content analysis on selected educational hadith texts and classical scholarship, synthesized with contemporary educational discourse, this research exposes the systemic flaws of educational commodification. The findings reveal that counteracting this phenomenon requires a dual framework: an internal ethical reconstruction that reinstates the waratsatul anbiya’ (heirs of the prophets) paradigm emphasizing student humility and educator Tarbiyah bil Mahabbah (affection-based pedagogy) and an external structural reform guaranteeing financial welfare and systemic legal protection for educators. The study concludes that internalizing Tarbawi principles is vital to shift the learning ecosystem from transactional intellectuality back to holistic moral formation.
