Background: Community based tourism places local residents as the main actors of destination management. The Ciliwung MT Haryono Ecoriparian Area in Jakarta has transformed from a degraded riverbank into a community managed tourism destination that remains underexplored. Objective: This study aims to analyze the management of community-based tourism destinations in the Ecoriparian Area, Ciliwung MT Haryono, focusing on supporting and inhibiting factors, contributions to community economic well-being, and the role of local communities in maintaining environmental and tourism sustainability. Methods: The research method used was descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques through observation, semi structured interviews, and documentation study. Data analysis was performed using NVivo software to help the coding process, theme identification, and data visualization in the form of project maps, word clouds, and correlation analysis. Results: The results of the study indicate that the main supporting factors are active community involvement, natural resources, and sustainability strategies, while barriers include limited infrastructure, environmental conditions, and differences in perception between parties. Findings indicate that community based tourism management is associated with improved economic welfare, as reported by community members, through UMKM empowerment, employment creation, and equitable benefit distribution, alongside environmental education, conservation, and cultural preservation. NVivo cluster and correlation analysis also revealed a manager community perspective gap, with values below 0.7 for manager community pairs and above 0.75 among community members. Conclusion: Sustainable destination management here depends not only on community participation but also on bridging the manager community perspective gap through inclusive communication and planning.
