This study aims to analyze the effect of a cashless lifestyle on the financial behavior of students at Universitas Nusa Nipa and to examine the role of parents’ socioeconomic status as a moderating variable. The study employed a quantitative approach with a causal associative research design. Primary data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 99 active students who use cashless payment services, such as e-wallets, QRIS, and mobile banking. Data analysis was conducted using validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, linear regression analysis, t-test, coefficient of determination, and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). The results showed that a cashless lifestyle has a positive and significant effect on students’ financial behavior. Parents’ socioeconomic status also has a positive and significant effect on students’ financial behavior. Furthermore, parents’ socioeconomic status was found to moderate the relationship between cashless lifestyle and financial behavior, with a negative interaction coefficient indicating a weakening effect. These findings indicate that the use of digital payment services can support responsible financial behavior when accompanied by proper financial management.
