This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Membina Generasi Solat (MGS) Program in developing children’s prayer habits in Kampung Gong Kemuning, Pasir Puteh, Kelantan, Malaysia. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach using field research. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and were analyzed descriptively using source and technique triangulation. The findings indicate that the implementation of the MGS Program at Masjid Mukim Gong Kemuning is not limited to memorizing prayer recitations and movements but also focuses on habituation through practice, talqin, role modeling, repetition, and educational rewards and corrective feedback. The program contributes to children’s development in three domains: cognitive development through improved memorization and understanding of prayer procedures; affective development through increased enthusiasm and attachment to the mosque; and psychomotor development through the ability to perform prayer correctly. However, a gap remains between participants’ abilities during MGS sessions and their consistency in performing prayers independently outside the program. The implementation of the program is supported by policies and funding from JAHEAIK, parental involvement, and standardized learning modules, while the limited frequency of meetings remains one of the obstacles to developing consistent prayer habits. Therefore, the success of the MGS Program requires synergy among mudarris, the mosque, family, and community so that prayer instruction can develop into sustained awareness and habitual religious practice.
