Ginger extract (Zingiber officinale) contains bioactive compounds such as gingerol, shogaol, zingerone, and zingiberol, making it promising for nanoemulsion formulations that enhance solubility and bioavailability of natural active compounds. This study aimed to determine the optimal nanoemulsion formulation using rice bran oil as the independent variable, with Tween 80, PEG 400, and ginger extract as fixed variables across six formulations. Tween 80 acts as a surfactant reducing lipophilic globule size, while PEG 400 acts as a cosurfactant enhancing effectiveness through increased penetration. Nanoemulsions were prepared by mixing the four ingredients, then evaluated for organoleptic properties, pH, emulsion type, transmittance, and emulsification time. All formulas showed pH 6.52–6.72, an oil-in-water (O/W) type, and emulsification times <1 minute (grade A). The formulation with 2.5 mL rice bran oil, 12.5 mL Tween 80, and 15 mL PEG 400 gave the best result, with the highest transmittance and particle size of 25.58 nm.
