In this practical work activity, the author conducted an FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis) analysis on a medium voltage electric motor (4160 V) used in a multistage centrifugal pump in oil company industry. The analysis was conducted to identify failure modes, causes, impacts, and determine severity, occurrence, and detection values which were then used to calculate the Risk Priority Number (RPN). Based on the results of the analysis, it was found that the winding component has the highest RPN value, followed by the shaft and grounding cable, so it requires priority in handling. The maintenance strategies applied include Preventive Maintenance (PM), Predictive Maintenance (PDM), and Corrective Maintenance (CM), with maintenance intervals adjusted for each component. Through this analysis, maintenance recommendations can be determined to reduce the risk of damage and maintain the continuity of tool operations, while providing practical experience in the application of Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) strategies in oil company industry.
