Marine transportation company with a focus on the safety and maintenance systems of passenger ships, there are stages of maintenance and care on the ships themselves from various light to heavy parts such as lubrication, coating to corrosion on the ship. The objective of this internship is to analyze the implementation of safety systems and maintenance procedures on the passenger fleet, as well as to assess the effectiveness of the maintenance practices in ensuring the quality and safety of the vessels. The methodology used in this research includes direct observation of the safety and maintenance procedures implemented on-site, interviews with technicians and staff involved in ship maintenance, and literature studies referring to international standards and applicable regulations. The findings indicate that the company has implemented adequate safety procedures, such as the use of lifeboats that meet IMO standards, and carries out routine maintenance on the ships. However, there are several areas that can be improved, particularly in terms of preventive maintenance execution and corrosion management on the vessels. Based on these findings, it is recommended that the company increase the frequency of anti-corrosion coating on parts of the ships that are vulnerable to damage due to exposure to seawater.
