Abstract This study analyzes the inventory turnover trend of PT Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur Tbk during 2016-2025 and explains changes in the average inventory holding period through Days inventory outstanding (DIO). A descriptive quantitative approach with a longitudinal case study design was applied to secondary data from annual reports and audited consolidated financial statements. The analysis used average inventory, cost of goods sold, inventory turnover, DIO, annual changes, and descriptive statistics. Inventory turnover decreased from 8.35 times in 2016 to 6.44 times in 2025, a decline of 22.84%. DIO increased from 43.73 days to 56.67 days, extending the average holding period by 12.94 days. The weakest position occurred in 2023, when turnover reached 6.36 times and DIO reached 57.42 days. A temporary improvement in 2024 was followed by another slowdown in 2025. These findings indicate slower financial conversion of inventory at the consolidated level, but do not establish overall operational inefficiency or an optimal inventory level. Further assessment requires operational data on lead time, ordering and holding costs, service levels, stockouts, inventory age, and individual stock keeping units. Keywords: inventory turnover, days inventory outstanding, inventory management, trend analysis, longitudinal study.
