<![CDATA[Network monitoring is the process of determining whether devices within a network are functioning properly. Computer network monitoring is divided into two categories: traffic monitoring, which involves monitoring actual traffic packets, and connection monitoring, which involves performing a ping test between a station and a target device to detect when a connection is lost. Therefore, monitoring requires the network administrator to be on-site to ensure that network performance is continuously monitored so that issues can be resolved quickly. One challenge faced by network administrators is that they are not always on-site to monitor the network; consequently, if a problem or disruption occurs, it takes longer to identify the source of the issue. This study proposes the implementation of monitoring software that can be integrated with notifications sent directly to the network administrator when a device experiences a disruption. The researcher connected the network monitoring system to The Dude software and WhatsApp notifications, and used the SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) to establish a data packet path for network monitoring. Testing was conducted using “The Dude” software to evaluate device monitoring and WhatsApp notifications, as well as to test the SNMP path. The test results showed that WhatsApp notifications integrated with “The Dude” achieved a 100% success rate, rated as “excellent”. Similarly, the success rate for remote network monitoring using the SNMP method was 100%, also rated as “excellent”.]]>
