Gift disputes often involve a conflict between the formal legal certainty of a deed and substantive justice for the donor. This study analyzes the legal norms governing the revocation of gifts, the recipient’s conduct that causes harm to the donor and the legal consequences of revocation based on Decision No. 101/Pdt.G/2025/MS.Bna of the Banda Aceh Sharia Court. This normative legal research employs a statutory and case approach with qualitative analysis. The findings indicate that Article 1688 of the Indonesian Civil Code and Article 212 of the Compilation of Islamic Law can be harmonized in assessing the revocation of gifts. Conduct that harms the donor may constitute grounds for revocation when manifested in concrete acts that violate propriety. Revocation results in the loss of the gift deed’s legal effect and the restoration of rights over the gifted property.
