The development of Indonesia’s creative economy has positioned song royalties as valuable and sustainable intangible assets. This study analyzes royalties as marital property, the judges’ legal considerations in Decision Number 1622/Pdt.G/2023/PA.JB and the role of notarial deeds in protecting rights and resolving disputes. Using normative juridical research with statutory, case and conceptual approaches, the study finds that royalties acquired during marriage constitute intangible movable property and marital assets. Moral rights remain attached to the creator, whereas economic rights may be divided. The decision grants the former wife 50% of the net royalty income, while an authentic deed strengthens legal certainty and enforceability.
