This study examines the social media used in the Global Sumud Flotilla social movement within the framework of transnational activism. Prior studies have not clearly elucidated the social media used in the Global Sumud Flotilla campaign. This research uses qualitative methods and qualitative content analysis to examine social media content about the Global Sumud Flotilla. Crosstab and word cloud analyses in NVivo 12Plus were used to qualitatively examine primary data from the official X account. The findings reveal a communication duality: 31.58% of the material focused on operational logistics (“Mobilization” and “Update Tracking”), while 68.42% emphasized narrative construction (“Rising Voice” and “Share Information”) to cultivate unity. This illustrates digital “connective action”, where multilingual hashtags and culturally pertinent expressions such as Sumud bypass governmental intermediaries to aggregate knowledge and organize actionable projects. Social media is essential in transforming scattered internet compassion into concrete physical endeavor. This research is constrained by its exclusive focus on textual analysis on a single platform (X), neglecting the algorithmic differences on visual platforms such as Instagram or TikTok. Future investigations should use a multi-faceted methodology that integrates internet ethnography, volunteer interviews, and extensive data analytics.
