Construction projects are highly complex and uncertain, necessitating a planning system that enhances the reliability of project execution. One approach is the Last Planner System (LPS); however, its implementation still faces various challenges. This study investigates the extent to which Implementation Challenges and Barriers influence the Implementation of the Last Planner System among construction service providers. This study used a quantitative approach and collected primary data through a questionnaire distributed to 41 respondents. Before use, the researchers tested the instrument for validity and reliability. The study analyzed the data using IBM SPSS Statistics. The test results showed that all 23 statement items were valid and reliable, with Cronbach’s Alpha values of 0.962 for Variable X and 0.964 for Variable Y, respectively. Furthermore, challenges and obstacles positively and significantly influenced the implementation of LPS. This is evident from the path coefficient value of 0.454 with a p-value of 0.038 (p < 0.05), as well as a t-statistic value of 2.142 that exceeds the critical value. The R² value was recorded at 0.206. Thus, the Challenges and Barriers factor explains 20.6% of the variation in the LPS Implementation factor; the factors in this study do not account for the remaining 79.4%. These findings suggest focusing on management commitment, staff understanding, coordination, and team involvement to support more effective LPS implementation.
