This study aims to analyze the role of sharia insurance products in increasing household economic resilience and identify household adaptation mechanisms after receiving claim funds. The research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive phenomenological design carried out on customers of PT Prudential Syariah Indonesia Medan Branch. Data was obtained through in-depth interviews with purposively selected customers and insurance agents, and supported by documentation related to the claims process. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of transcription, horizontalization, identification of important statements, thematic grouping, textural and structural descriptions, to the formulation of the essence of the informant's experience. The results of the study show that claim funds play a role as a source of liquidity that helps households face economic shocks due to health risks, maintain basic needs, reduce debt pressure, and prevent the release of productive assets. Claim funds are also used to recover capital and redevelop household economic activities. In addition to economic functions, claim funds are interpreted as a form of ta'awun through the tabarru' mechanism, which is related to the principles of Sharia Maqashid, especially hifz al-mal and hifz al-nasl. Agents have an important role in providing literacy, claim assistance, and explaining sharia values to customers. These findings show that sharia insurance can be one of the mechanisms for protecting and recovering the household economy when facing risks.
