This study aims to develop a web-based Decision Support System (DSS) for determining social assistance recipients among grave diggers and bilal mayit in Sawit Seberang District. The Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) method was applied to rank prospective recipients based on six assessment criteria, namely income, number of dependents, age, housing condition, length of service, and an additional criterion implemented in the system. The study involved eight prospective recipients, represented by alternatives A001 to A008. The TOPSIS process consisted of decision matrix normalization, weighted normalization using criterion weights of 25%, 20%, 20%, 15%, 10%, and 10%, determination of positive and negative ideal solutions, calculation of distances to the ideal solutions, and preference value calculation. The results showed that A001, Syahrial Lubis, achieved the highest preference value of 0.638991 and ranked first with the status Highly Recommended. The subsequent alternatives were A005 with a preference value of 0.597779, A003 with 0.518578, A006 with 0.399135, A008 with 0.389486, A007 with 0.389230, A002 with 0.360373, and A004 with 0.337661. These results indicate that the developed system can perform recipient ranking in a structured manner and provide decision support for determining social assistance recipients more objectively and systematically.
