<![CDATA[Instilling patriotism in Islamic boarding school students (santri) faces challenges due to dense religious curricula that limit exposure to civic values. This community service program describes the execution of "Semarak 17 Agustus: Santri untuk Tanah Air" and identifies participant engagement as a medium for strengthening civic awareness at Ashabul Kahfi Islamic Boarding School Foundation Putri, Bekasi. Using a qualitative descriptive case-study approach, the Community Service Program (KKN) team of Institut Agama Islam Hidayatullah Batam collected data through participatory observation and documentation. Activities included developing a historical wall magazine, setting up an independence-themed photobooth, holding a flag ceremony, sharing a communal meal, and organizing traditional competitions for female teachers, children, and female santri. Results reveal active participation across all sessions, fostering interaction, teamwork, and historical appreciation of santri contributions to national independence. However, shifts in patriotic attitudes cannot be determined quantitatively due to the absence of pre- and post-activity instruments.]]>
