Abstract

The development of effective Al-Hadith teaching materials and instructional media is essential for supporting students’ understanding of religious concepts and their ability to apply Islamic values in learning. However, instructional resources need to respond to changing educational technologies while maintaining appropriate religious content and learning principles. This study aims to examine the development, types, functions, and strategies of Al-Hadith teaching materials and instructional media and to formulate a conceptual understanding of their effective use in learning. The study employed a qualitative descriptive approach through library research. Data were collected by identifying, selecting, reading, documenting, and thematically organizing relevant books, scientific articles, educational documents, and other scholarly sources. Data were analyzed through data condensation, data display, and conclusion verification. The findings indicate that Al-Hadith learning can utilize audio, visual, and audiovisual media, supported by multimedia technology and internet-based resources. Effective development requires attention to Islamic values, curriculum relevance, content quality, gradual presentation, repetition, positive feedback, and student motivation. The study implies that teachers should strengthen their ability to develop and select instructional materials that integrate religious content, pedagogical principles, and technological resources to create accessible, engaging, and meaningful Al-Hadith learning.
