Digital transformation has become an urgent necessity for Islamic Financial Institutions (LKS), including Baitul Maal wat Tamwil (BMT), in responding to technological developments and the demand for more efficient financial services. This study aims to analyze the implementation of digitalization in the operational system of BMT MEKAH Bojonegoro, identify the strategic opportunities it offers, and explore the challenges encountered during the transformation process. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach, using data collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. The findings indicate that digitalization, marked by the launch of the BMT MEKAH Barokah mobile application, has successfully enhanced transparency, operational efficiency, and member trust. The innovation in Islamic financing, particularly through murabahah contracts, provides inclusive and Sharia-compliant financial solutions for micro-entrepreneurs. However, challenges such as low digital literacy, regulatory limitations on cooperatives, and uneven infrastructure remain significant obstacles. Therefore, digital transformation at BMT MEKAH presents substantial potential as a means of empowering the ummah’s economy, provided it is supported by appropriate policies, enhanced human resource capacity, and a strong commitment to Sharia values in institutional operations.
