This study analyzes the rate of return on investment in higher education in Jambi Province, using Sakernas (National Labor Force Survey) data for the years 2014–2016. The focus of the research is on the labor force aged 15–64 years, and the method employed is the Two-Step Heckman approach, which first estimates the probability of labor force participation, followed by income estimation using the Mincerian Earnings Function model. The results of the analysis show that the rate of return on investment in education for workers with a Diploma degree is higher than that for those with a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree (S1/S2/S3). However, when comparing 2014 and 2015, the rate of return on investment in S1/S2/S3 education shows an increasing trend.
