The challenges faced in managing Village Funds (Dana Desa) are not only the lack of readiness among communities and village governments in managing these funds, but also the suboptimal dissemination, facilitation, and assistance provided by facilitators as well as local government officials. Another challenge is the limited capacity of village officials in planning programs and activities financed through Village Funds. In addition, an important challenge to be addressed is the management of village data and information as the basis for planning, monitoring, and evaluating village development performance. Therefore, BPS (Statistics Indonesia) together with Village Governments, Subdistrict Heads, and Regency/Municipal Governments need to optimize the management and utilization of Village Potential Statistics (PODES) data, alongside Susenas (National Socio-Economic Survey) data and other relevant data, as inputs for formulating policies, programs, and village development activities. With accurate data and information, proper facilitation, and the support of local governments, the management of Village Funds can foster the realization of strong, advanced, independent, and democratic village governance and development, as well as the growth of a fair, prosperous, and prosperous village society.
