ABSTRACT Financial inclusion is the avability of access to financial products and services for individuals that are beneficial and carried out in a responsible and sustainable manner. The opposite of financial inclusion is financial exclusion. According to the World Bank, account ownership is the main indicator of financial inclusion. Although based on the 2021 Global Findex, the level of bank account ownership in Indonesia is already above 50 percent, this figure is still far behind compared to neighboring countries.. In this study, financial exclusion will be approached by having a bank account. Observations used are residents aged at least 17 years. The result of this research is that the proportion of residents who have bank accounts is only 45.1 percent. From the results of the binary logistic regression, the results of education level, place of residence, age, internet access, poverty status, gender, and employment status have a significant effect on resident financial exclusion in Indonesia.
