Music is often perceived solely as art, while mathematics is regarded as a collection of numbers and formulas. In fact, both are closely connected in ways that create harmony. This article discusses the relationship between music and mathematics through rhythm patterns, note frequencies, and chord harmonies. The motivation for choosing this topic is to show that mathematics is not confined to the classroom but exists in everyday life through the music we listen to. The approach applied is a simple literature review regarding number patterns in rhythm, frequency ratios in note intervals, and the concept of Fourier transformation in digital music processing. The results indicate that many aspects of music can be mathematically explained, from basic beats to modern audio processing technology. In conclusion, mathematics provides structure and order in music, while music offers a real-life context that reveals the beauty of mathematics. This understanding is therefore important to enhance appreciation of both fields.
