The development of information technology has influenced various aspects of life, including in the field of transportation. One example of the application of technology is an online-based train ticket booking system that makes it easier for users to make transactions without having to visit the counter directly. This study aims to design a prototype of an online-based train ticket booking application that can simplify the ticket booking process, increase user convenience, and reduce queues at the station. The method used in this study is a prototyping approach, with stages of needs analysis, user interface design, and prototype testing. This application is designed to be used on mobile devices with Android and iOS operating systems, facilitating users to choose routes, schedules, and make payments directly through an electronic payment system.Testing was conducted to ensure ease of use, transaction speed, and application stability. This application prototype can provide a better user experience in ordering train tickets, with an intuitive interface and complete features. In addition, this application has the potential to reduce queues at the counter and provide easy access to information related to schedules and ticket availability. With the implementation of this system, it is expected to improve service efficiency and user satisfaction of train services.
