Salopi Beach is one of the leading marine tourism destinations in Pinrang Regency, but its management still faces challenges in terms of environmental quality and facilities. This study aims to evaluate visitor perceptions of tourist attraction attributes to map the potential and challenges of developing this destination. Using a quantitative descriptive method, data were collected through a questionnaire from 100 respondents using an accidental sampling technique. The results show that in general, visitor perceptions are in the agreeable category, especially regarding the aspects of natural uniqueness and beach safety. However, there are critical findings related to the aspect of natural beauty that received less than satisfactory responses due to piles of garbage that disrupt the aesthetics. Practically, this article contributes as a recommendation for managers and local governments to prioritize waste management and improve supporting facilities for sustainable tourism. Academically, this study strengthens the literature on tourist destination evaluation based on visitor perceptions in developing regions.
