<![CDATA[According to Indonesia Demographic and Health Survey Year 2014 - 2015, the percentage of IUD contraceptive users is 18.47% and increased by 2015 to 22.6%. In addition to the effectiveness of the IUD there are some disadvantages in the use of IUD, including bleeding (spotting) between menstruation, excessive menstrual pain, longer menstrual periods and heavy bleeding at the time of menstruasi.Menurut Arisman the occurrence of excessive bleeding during menstruation will Resulting in iron deficiency anemia.This study aims to determine the relationship of contraceptive use of IUD with iron deficiency anemia in KB acceptor in Public Health Center Martoba Pematangsiantar City.This research is an analytical survey with cross sectional research design. Population in this research is all acceptor of KB in Public Health Center of Martoba City Pematangsiantar Year 2017 amount 96 people.Tehnik sampling that is used is total sampling. Bivariate data analysis with chi square test with significant value <0,05 and multivariate with logistic regression. The result of this research with multivariate analysis showed that there was a significant correlation between the variable of the number of bleeding at the time of menstruation with iron deficiency anemia at Public Health Center of Pematangsiantar Municipality. It is expected that health workers should cooperate with the health service of Pematangsiantar City in order to select candidate acceptors of KB IUD should first be screened by doing HB and HB examination more than 12 gr / dl who may use IUD contraception.
