<![CDATA[Menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea) can be reduced or prevented by consuming chocolate because t can ncrease estrogen levels which can later trigger the release of prostaglandin hormones. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of giving dark chocolate nfusion to reduce menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea) n female adolescents. This study used a Pre-Experimental method with a One Group Pretest Postest design. The population was 37 grade VII female. The sampling technique used purposive sampling, namely 27 female adolescents who experienced menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea). Data collection used questionnaires and observation sheets. Data analysis used descriptive analysis and the Wilcoxon test. The results of the study showed that giving dark chocolate nfusion had an effect on the ntensity of menstrual pain n female adolescents, where the results of the study showed that before the administration of dark chocolate nfusion, the ntensity of menstrual pain n adolescent girls mostly experienced moderate pain, namely 21 people (77.8%) and after being given dark chocolate nfusion, the ntensity of menstrual pain n adolescent girls decreased to mild pain, namely 22 people (81.5%) while those experiencing moderate pain became 5 people (18.5%). The results of the statistical test using the Wilcoxon Test showed that the p value was 0.000 (p <α 0.05) meaning that there was a difference n the ntensity of menstrual pain before and after being given dark chocolate nfusion. The conclusion of this study s that giving dark chocolate nfusion can reduce the ntensity of menstrual pain n adolescent girls. t s hoped that health workers can provide education by providing nformation about dark chocolate nfusions as an alternative treatment to reduce menstrual pain.]]>
