<![CDATA[Social anxiety is a psychological problem that often occurs in adolescents, characterized by excessive fear of negative evaluation from others, which can hinder their growth and development. Parenting style is believed to be one of the factors associated with a child's social development. This study aims to analyze the relationship between parenting style and the level of social anxiety among students at SMKN X in Jakarta. Method: The study used a cross-sectional design with a quantitative approach. A total of 76 respondents were selected using a simple random sampling technique. The research instruments used were the Parental Authority Questionnaire (PAQ) to measure parenting style and the Social Anxiety Scale for Adolescents (SAS-A) to measure social anxiety. The data were analyzed using the likelihood ratio test due to violations of the assumptions required for the chi-square test. Results: The findings showed that the majority of respondents experienced an authoritative parenting style, with 68 respondents (89.5%), and most had a moderate level of social anxiety, with 52 respondents (68.4%). The likelihood ratio statistical test yielded a p-value of 0.027 (< 0.05). Conclusion: Based on the statistical analysis, there is a significant relationship between parenting style and social anxiety among adolescents at SMKN X in Jakarta.]]>
