Abstract

The world today has seen rapid development in construction techniques and technology, but some areas still cannot adopt advanced methods due to economic constraints, limited resources, and inadequate tools and materials. As times change, selecting efficient construction materials is essential to achieving the goal of designing infrastructure products that are both cost-effective and structurally sound. In this study, an analysis was conducted using observational data collected from a project that examined the advantages and disadvantages of combining steel and concrete in building construction. This research was conducted by searching for data on a construction project that utilizes a combination of concrete and steel materials, including collecting fieldwork drawings and budget details for the combination structure, and conducting interviews with consultants and supervisors. This research was conducted to provide insight into the cost and time efficiency of constructing multi-storey buildings using a combination of concrete and steel materials, resulting in sturdy, durable, time-efficient, and environmentally friendly structures.
