This community service activity aimed to provide initial knowledge and practical experience in operating electric welding machines to youth and students in Citeureup II Hamlet, Kutamukti Village, Kutawaluya District, Karawang Regency, Indonesia. The activity was conducted on September 15–17, 2026, through three stages: socialization and introduction to welding equipment, hands-on metal joining practice through the fabrication of a simple bench, and evaluation and finishing. The methods included observation, needs identification, demonstration, practical training, and descriptive evaluation. The participants consisted of local youth and students from SMK Al Inayah, assisted by students from KKN Group 09. During the activity, several challenges emerged, including limited attention, reluctance to participate in practice, and embarrassment in presenting work results. These challenges were addressed through additional explanations, guidance, and direct assistance. The activity provided participants with opportunities to become familiar with electric welding equipment and practice basic metal joining techniques. This training is expected to serve as an initial step toward developing technical skills, creativity, and potential business opportunities in welding. Further training and continuous mentoring are needed to strengthen participants’ competencies and support the sustainable application of the skills acquired.
