PENGARUH PEMBELAJARAN BERVISI SETS (Science, Environment, Technology and Society) DENGAN MEDIA PERMAINAN ULAR TANGGA TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR SISWA KABUPATEN BATANG

Abstract

The result of student learning will not rising if teaching learning process don’t use the teaching media. Problems which studied in this research is how to influence of usage of SETS approach by using the snake ladder game media to know the result of student learning cognitive. This research aim is to know; the influence of usage of SETS approach by using the snake ladder game media to know the result of student learning cognitive of SMPN 3 Kandeman and SMPN 3 Bandar. Experiment Design that used is One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design of quasi-experiment. Research is held at two Junior High School in Batang Sub-Province that are SMPN 3 Kandeman and SMPN 3 Bandar school year 2012 / 2013 with the technique data collection that used are cluster random sampling. The documentation and test method are used in data collection. The Research instrument used multiple-choice question form in which validity, reliability, distinguishing energy, and its difficulty level have been tested. Result of the research obtained with t-test to two variable with post-test data at the level of significance 5% and dk = 48, got the value of t count equal to 2,67 and t table equal to 2,22. Because of t count more high than t table hence hypothesis accepted. Later; Then  doing the upgrading-test of the learning result which used gain-test that normalization at the first experiment class ( 0,683) and the second experiment class (0,608). From this research can be concluded that there are influence study of SETS approach against the result of student learning cognitive at SMPN 3 Kandeman and SMPN 3 Bandar with the mean class value at the first experiment class bigger than the second experiment class.
