<![CDATA[ABSTRAK Pendidikan telah diakui oleh bebagai pakar bahwa memiliki pengaruh besar bagi pembebasan manusia dari belenggu keterbelakangan dan kebodohan.Masalah pendidikan acap kali menjadi persoalan yang menguak di daerah kepulauan tidak terkecuali di Aceh seperti Desa Pulo Breueh Kecamatan Pulo Aceh, yang mana salah satu masalahnya masih rendahnya tingkat masyarakat yang melanjutkan pendidikan ke jenjang yang lebih tinggi, baik dari SD ke jenjang SMP, SMP ke jenjang SMA, dan SMA ke jenjang Perguruan Tinggi hingga sampai sekarang ini. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk memperoleh informasi tentang Persepsi Masyarakat Desa Pulo Breueh Kecamatan Pulo Aceh Terhadap Pentingnya Pendidikan.Berangkat dari judul penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan teori persepsi oleh Daviddof untuk menjelaskan permasalahan ini.Penelitian ini dilakukan dilokasi Desa Pulo Breueh Kecamatan Pulo Aceh, desa tersebut adalah Paloh, Lampunyang, dan Lhoh, subjek penelitian diambil dengan menggunakan pendekatan purposive sampling.Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa terdapat sebagian besar persepsi masyarakatdari tiga desa yang menyatakan kepedulian mereka terhadap pendidikan dan sebagian kecil masyarakat dari tiga desa ini menyatakan ketidak perdulian mereka terhadap pendidikan dengan berbagai alasan yang berkembang didalam persepsi dan pola pikir masyarakat Pulo Breueh.
