Abstract

Seafood processing industry has become one of strategic clusters that currently is promoted by the government to grow. Nowadays,  many agro-industry companies emerged, ranging in all sizes from small to large scale. Company X, the case study in this research, is the representative of medium scale industry that has exported its product to several countries in Asia. The company faced challenges that include product sensitivity to temperature changing, a wide quality deviation, and the need of food safety guarantee. Becoming more competitive, the company keeps developing efficient performance on their supply chain. For that purpose, this research used quality risk management approach. All activities along the supply chain will be described on supply chain operations references (SCOR) framework, from where the risks were then analyzed through Delphi method. The result showed that there were 41 potential risks, which then evaluated using house of risk (HOR) 1. The HOR has found that 5 of the registered risks were critical and need to be mitigated. Thus, the next step arranged some mitigation strategies which were scored by HOR 2. Finally, 9 mitigation plannings were determined. The strategies are also potentially implemented in the similar industries.
