The objective of this research is to determine the factors that cause bad credit at PT Mega Finance Palembang branch and the efforts that are taken in dealing non-performing loans. The result obtained through the discussion of the research literature and field (observation and interview), while the technique of primary and secondary data analysis by using qualitative method that is based on the list trouble loans in 2011 to 2013. It can be concluded that the cause of bad credit because of internal factors namely officers were less vigilant in legalizing loans and external factors due to poor consumer behavior. The efforts are provide training to the credit officer, the application procedure NPP checking post, reevaluate loans disbursed.
