Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui produktivitas serasah tumbuhan Kuma (Palaquium luzoniense Vid.) berdasarkan persentase penutupan tajuk di kawasan Hutan lindung Nanga-nanga Papalia, Provinsi Sulawesi Tenggara. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu eksplorasi dengan menentukan stasiun pengamatan yang disesuaikan dengan keberadaan tumbuhan Kuma (Palaquium luzoniense Vid.) berdasarkan persentase penutupan tajuk 75%-100%. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua serasah pohon kuma (Palaquium luzoniense Vid.) yang terdapat dalam stasiun pengamatan. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah semua serasah Kuma (Palaquium luzoniense Vid.) yang terdapat pada perangkap serasah (litter fall). Lokasi penelitian ini terdiri dari 4 stasiun masing-masing terbagi dalam 3 persentase penutupan tajuk. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa produktivitas serasah tertinggi pada persentase penutupan tajuk 75%-100% yaitu pada bulan Februari yaitu 129,62 g/m2/bulan.Kata kunci : Produktivitas, serasah, tajuk, Kuma (Palaquium luzoniense Vid.) ABSTRACTThis research aimet to determined the productivity of litterfall from Kuma Tree (Palaquium luzoinense Vid.) based on percentage of crown cover in protected forest area of Nanga-nanga, Southeast Sulawesi. The method of exploration this research were used observation in station that is adjust to the existence of Kuma Tree (Palaquium luzoniense Vid.) based of crown cover percentage were composed in 25-50%, 50-75% and 75-100%. Population of this study were all the litter of Kuma tree (Palaquium luzoniense Vid.) were contained in the observation station. The sample is litter of Kuma tree (Palaquium luzoniense Vid.) which is found in litterfall. The observation location consisted of four (4) station which divided in three (3) percentage of crown cover. The results showed that the highest litter productivity was in 75-100% crown cover percentage as much as 85,24 g/m2/month and lowest litter productivity were in 25-50% of crown cover percentage the number of litter as much as 61,10 g/m2/month. Keywords : Productivity, Letter, cover,  Kuma (Palaquium luzoniense Vid.)
