<![CDATA[The purpose of study was to obtain the description of clients experienced-response when firstly diagnosed HIV/AIDS. The design of this study was qualitative methods and fenomenology study approaches. Number of participants were 5 people with HIV/AIDS by a purposive sampling technique. Data Retrieval used in-depth interview techniques, field notes, and voice recorder. The reseach of conducted in LSM Mercusuar Riau, Pekanbaru. Based on data analysis results, when first diagnosed of HIV clients are experienced two psychological respons, denial and acceptance. The main caused of HIV-infected clients were syringes (heroin), from couples, commersial sex workers (CSW), and due to lack of knowledge. In addition, client was experienced two changes in behavior that are positive and negative. Clients also require support, motivation, attention, advice, family gather and appreciation. Recommended to people living with HIV/AIDS to improve ther social living with other peopleproperly.]]>
